Creating the wings was the hardest part of all but I was able to overcome it by spreading the vertex out and sculpting it into wings.

I finally found a way to approach the style I wanted to go for which was 2D. I decided to use a surface shader which blocks all the light and becomes a shadow which is like an illusion, as is ti a 3D shape, however, looks 2D.
