Thumbnails - @Phil

I started looking back at Angie Lewin’s work and her techniques and even remembering experiencing printmaking in my fine art course. The reason her work looks so different and special is that of the amazing shapes she can carve out of wood. Looking at her techniques I was able to pick out how simple it looks; however, she also places or positions complicated shapes within her artwork which makes it different from other printmakers work. If you look at the contrast between my other thumbnails you are able to see how I was able to make the buildings look simple and related to Angie Lewis style.

The ones drawn with a pen are the ones I think went successfully?

  1. Hey Divine - thanks for your patience - I've been rushing about a bit this week - but yes, I think the pen drawings you've isolated are much more in keeping with Lewin's style - and that sense they give of this city being an ariel one is really helping everything feel a bit more light and elegant - just some additional references for you then:
